About this website

Welcome to the Andalucia Tourist Guide! I started this website in November 2010 to provide useful information for anyone planning a trip to Andalucia. After a stuttering start, I intend to devote more time to improving this guide during 2012, so you should see many more articles in the coming months. This is all my own work though, except for the occasional contribution from my friend Michael, but I shall do my best! I lived in Andalucia for several years until recently, but I am currently based back in the UK.

Affiliate Links

You may notice a number of ‘affiliate links’ throughout this site. Don’t worry, there’s nothing sinister about these! If you click on one of these links, and proceed to make a purchase (or in some cases, make an enquiry) from that website, then I will make a small commission. This does not in any way affect the amount you will pay.

I’ve listed below some of the companies which may have affiliate links on this site. As you can see, they are all very reputable!

Catalink – a useful website where you can order holiday brochures and catalogues. Definitely worth a try if you’re planning a holiday. catalink.com

Golfbreaks.com – Europe’s largest golf travel company, offering nearly a 1,000 venues across the continent, including many in Andalucia.  golfbreaks.com

HotelsCombined – a hotel price comparison website, which also has thousands of reviews. Unlike many similar sites, this one only accepts reviews from those who have actually stayed at the hotel. hotelscombined.com

Jet2 Airlines – a Leeds-based airline providing flights from several airports in northern England and Scotland to a host of destinations throughout Europe, including Almeria and Malaga in Andalucia. jet2.com

Jet2holidays – part of the Jet2 group, providing both package holidays and city breaks. jet2holidays.com

DebRA

On a personal note, I try to support the charity DebRA, which helps those with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). This genetic skin condition, whose sufferers are sometimes referred to as ‘Butterfly Children’, is often very painful, as the skin and internal body linings can blister at the slightest rub or knock, causing open wounds. For more information about this worthy charity, visit debra.org.uk.

Many thanks,

Colin.
