Delta Airlines is to resume direct flights between Malaga and New York from June 2 2012. The summer service will be operated in collaboration with Air France-KLM, with the 170-seat Boeing 757-200 airliner providing five flights per week.

Although the New York-Malaga flights will be the only direct connection between the USA and Andalucia, the Spanish Ministry of Tourism has recently sounded out Iberia Airlines regarding the possibility of operating the route on a year-round basis.
